Over 20 years ago, Direct Line shook the insurance industry to its very foundations, by launching products directly to the consumer. No brokers, just an iconic red telephone between you and your cover.
Now Direct Line has upped the ante again, launching a range of new products aimed at the small business owner. Monitor Media was selected to reinvent the online application ("quote and buy") process, being briefed to produce an industry-beating user interface majoring on ease of use and accessibility.
We started work in summer 2007, with the first 4 products going live in November. The reaction was incredible - double page spreads in daily newspapers, insurance industry pundits in a total spin, and target audience uptake - well, things are going very nicely.
Collectively the offering is known as Direct Line For Business. We're tremendously excited about the impact it's making and the extensive involvement we've had throughout, from initial product planning through 'go live' and now with product enhancement and support.
