TOMMIE
Like everything else we do, the web application we're most proud of - TOMMIE - was produced entirely in house.
TOMMIE - which stands for Total Office Management Made Incredibly Easy - is an online office management system that gives staff and managers unprecedented levels of control over their business lives. A suite of online tools (shared diaries, expenses, timesheets, job codes, holidays, contacts etc.) come together seamlessly via a single web page. All can be managed by staff and analysed by managers, completely intuitively.
Because the entire system is web-based, access is limited only by the availability of an internet connection. TOMMIE works beautifully with PCs, Macs, PDAs and Smartphones - a world first? The massive growth in mobile internet availability (3G, WiFi etc.) and the preponderance of connected devices means that TOMMIE is never more than a few seconds away.
But the significance of TOMMIE's launch goes way beyond cross- platform compatibility and ease of access. Not only can managers give staff the wherewithal to administer their own working lives, but they can use a variety of 'back office' reporting tools to give their business a health check. Timesheet and cost centre summaries clearly show which customers and projects suck up the most resource. Further transparency is provided in the areas of staff expenses and attendance. Reports can be broken down by date, time period, individual or department, with clever use of icons and colour coding providing rapid 'at-a-glance' information too.
