TOMMIE (Mobile)
TOMMIE stands for 'Total Office Management Made Incredibly Easy'. It's an extremely powerful, quite brilliant online application even if we do say so ourselves (well, others have said much the same, so it's not really bragging). But most interesting of all, perhaps, is that it works on PDAs and Smartphones as well as desktop Macs and PCs and laptops.
Why is this important? Because in a world where people work from home, or the train, or somewhere abroad, and when we're all connected all the time, people rightly expect to be able to access the office regardless. Sometimes they won't want to power up the laptop. They'll just want to see what's next in the shared diary, or do their expenses online, or fill in a timesheet before they forget. They'll reach in their pockets and pull out the phone.
Thanks to Monitor Media's skilled developers, they can use TOMMIE on their mobile devices. Some smart detection code tells our servers what device is being used to access TOMMIE, so allowing it to serve up exactly the right flavour for the right device. Using XHTML technology, and drawing from the same database as the desktop version, TOMMIE users can stay in touch with their office colleagues and stay ahead of the admin.
